1/10 Buggy Class
Buggy racing is one of the most exciting and dynamic RC classes at SMCC. This class is open to both 2WD and 4WD 1/10 buggies, making it a popular choice for drivers who enjoy jumping, sliding, and wheel-to-wheel racing action.

Rules
Chassis | Any 2WD or 4WD 1/10 chassis is allowed with any hop-ups. |
ESC | No restrictions. |
Servo | No restrictions. |
Motor | 13.5T brushless max. Non-regulars using lower turn motors must inform race control and limit speed to 13.5T equivalent. No championship points if not compliant. |
Gearing | No restrictions. |
Tyres | Control tyre: Schumacher Mini Spike Yellow Compound Front: U6793 Rear: U6794 No tyre additive allowed under any circumstances. |
Bodyshell | Any 1/10 buggy shell is permitted. |
Batteries | Only 2S 7.4V Li-Po or 6-cell 7.2V NiMH allowed. No capacity limit. Li-HV must charge to 7.4V max per BRCA rules. Random checks may occur. |
Tips for New Racers
- Start with a 13.5T motor for balanced performance and control.
- Use the club's control tyres to get the best traction and compliance.
- Practice smooth throttle and brake control for better lap times.
