What a fantastic evening of racing we had at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for round 6 of the Winter/Spring Championship! The hall was buzzing with excitement as drivers battled it out across multiple classes.
Short Course Truck
The Short Course Truck races were highly competitive. Toby Halstead took a commanding win in the A Final, completing an impressive 21 laps. Keith Griggs secured second place, with Andrew Boakes rounding out the podium in third.
Buggy
In the Buggy class, Tom Jones was on top form, taking victory in the A Final with 22 laps to his name. Ben Clark followed closely in second, and Holly Weaver secured a strong third position.
Touring Car
The Touring Car class saw some thrilling action. Steve Jenner claimed victory in the A Final, just ahead of Adam Gammage in second, who also set the fastest lap of the race. Tim Halstead completed the top three.
Tamiya Tourers
The Tamiya Tourers provided plenty of excitement, with multiple finals. Mark Shepherd was victorious in the A Final, closely followed by Mark K Shepherd in second and Chris Playfoot in third. Craig Playfoot had a superb evening, winning the B Final and making multiple other podium appearances.
Overall Notes:
It was a brilliant night of close racing for everyone involved. A special mention goes to Craig Playfoot, who achieved an incredible seven podium finishes throughout the evening, demonstrating fantastic consistency across the Tamiya Tourer class. Toby Halstead and Keith Griggs also had strong showings with four podiums each, alongside Andrew Boakes and Tom Jones. The fastest lap of the night was set by Adam Gammage in the Touring Car A Final with an impressive 12.02 seconds.
