What a fantastic evening of racing we had at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 2 of the Summer Championship! The hall was buzzing with excitement as our drivers battled it out across multiple classes.
Short Course Truck
James Campbell took a commanding win in the Short Course Truck A Final, completing 24 laps. Alan Culham secured second place with 23 laps, and Adam Gammage rounded out the podium in third.
Buggy
The Buggy class saw an incredible performance from Ian Foxwell, who took the A Final victory with an impressive 26 laps. Holly Weaver finished a strong second, with James Campbell taking third place.
Touring Car
In the Touring Car A Final, James Weaver was on top form, taking the win with 27 laps. Steve Jenner came home in second, and Ian Cowe secured third place, all within a lap of each other.
Tamiya Tourers
The Tamiya Tourers put on a great show, with Mark K Shepherd claiming the A Final win after completing 25 laps. Tim Webb took second place, and Jimmy Zepp finished in third.
It was a brilliant night of racing for everyone involved. A special mention goes to James Campbell, who had a remarkable presence on the podium throughout the evening, appearing in seven races. Other drivers with consistent podium finishes included Alan Culham, Ian Cowe, James Weaver, and Steve Jenner, each appearing on four podiums. The fastest lap of the entire night belonged to James Weaver in the Touring Car A Final with an incredible time of 10.26 seconds!
