What a fantastic night of racing we had at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! The lights flared, the motors whined, and our drivers put on a brilliant show for everyone.
Short Course Truck
The Short Course Truck class saw some superb action throughout the evening. James Campbell was on fine form, taking victory in the A Final with a dominant performance and setting the fastest lap of the race. Keith Griggs secured second place, with Andrew Boakes rounding out the podium.
Buggy
The Buggy races were fiercely contested. Bill Boag claimed a thrilling victory in the A Final, just edging out James Campbell and Ian Foxwell who completed a very close podium. Tim Webb also had a strong showing in the earlier Buggy races, consistently finishing at the sharp end.
Touring Car
In the Touring Car class, the A Final was a masterclass in speed and consistency. James Weaver took the win, with Ian Cowe and Bill Boag battling hard to secure second and third respectively.
Tamiya Tourers
The Tamiya Tourers class provided plenty of excitement. Tim Webb took an impressive win in the A Final, with Craig Playfoot coming in a close second. Jimmy Zepp completed the podium. Earlier in the evening, Craig Playfoot had shown his pace with multiple wins. Chris Playfoot also put in a stellar drive to win the B Final.
It was an incredible evening of RC racing! James Campbell was a standout performer, making an impressive eight podium appearances across the various classes. Tim Webb, Ian Foxwell, and Bill Boag also demonstrated remarkable consistency with seven podiums each, while Peter McKerrow achieved six podium finishes. What a testament to their skill and dedication!
