Welcome to the new SMCC site — racing returns 10 July

Welcome to the brand new Sevenoaks Model Car Club website. After a fair bit of work behind the scenes we are delighted to launch a home for the club that does a lot more than just take bookings.

Racing is back — 10 July

We are kicking the new site off with the start of the 2026 Summer Championship, beginning Friday 10 July at Sackville School. That is Round 1 of an eleven-round series running through to the end of the year — and your best eight rounds will count towards the final standings, so do not worry if you cannot make every Friday.

All eleven rounds are already on the race calendar and open for booking. Add the dates to your diary, book the ones you can make, and we will see you on the start grid.

What is new on the site

A quick tour of what has changed:

• Book online in seconds. Pick your driver, choose your classes, pay by card. Account credit auto-applies and the next race appears on your home page until you have booked.
• Live championship + race results. Every meeting we have ever run is now searchable, drillable to lap-by-lap data, and pulled automatically from rc-results overnight.
• AI race recaps. Every race night gets an automatic written summary by the next morning. Two flavours: friendly Commentary, or detailed Technical.
• Achievement badges. Twelve badges spanning loyalty, performance, speed and community — earn them by doing what you already do. Check the badges page to see what is on offer.
• Install it on your phone. The site works as a proper app. On iPhone tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android tap the menu → Install. It will feel exactly like a regular app and you will get a nice icon on your home screen.
• Race-night reminders by email. We will send a friendly reminder the morning of each race.
