Buggy A Final: Foxwell Takes the Win in a Tight Battle!
What a finish to the Buggy A Final here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ian Foxwell has taken a hard-fought victory, crossing the line just shy of a second ahead of a charging James Campbell. Campbell’s pace was relentless, and after an early move on Lap 4 saw him take the lead from Nick Stokes, he held it for the majority of the race. However, it was Foxwell who ultimately made the decisive move, taking the lead and holding on for the win.
James Campbell secured a strong second place, consistently running at the sharp end after his early pass. He finished 0.91 seconds behind Foxwell, a testament to the close racing we witnessed. Bill Boag put in a superb drive to round out the podium, making up three positions from his starting spot to snatch third place. He finished a further 3.56 seconds behind Campbell, showing great consistency throughout the A Final.
Nick Stokes, who led the early laps, finished a close fourth, just 0.34 seconds behind Boag. He set the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 12.06 seconds, demonstrating incredible pace. Holly Weaver came home in fifth, one lap down after encountering a bit more trouble than the leaders, while Tim Halstead finished sixth. A fantastic race from all our buggy drivers!
