2026 Summer Championship - Round 3: Touring Car A Final
What a showdown we've just witnessed at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Steve Jenner was in a class of his own tonight, leading from the instant the tone dropped and controlling the A Final from start to finish. He was untouchable, setting a blistering fastest lap of 11.85 seconds and maintaining a clear advantage throughout the 24 laps. He truly set the benchmark for the rest of the field.
Behind Steve, the battle for the remaining podium places was intense. Ian Cowe initially held a strong second place, but a couple of slower laps in the latter stages saw him drop back. Martin Timms, after an early challenge for third, found his rhythm and steadily climbed through the field, eventually securing a well-deserved third place on the road, just two laps shy of Ian's final tally. James Weaver, unfortunately, couldn't quite make it to the end, retiring after lap 13, but his consistent pace in the early laps kept him in contention.
A fantastic night of racing for the Touring Car class, with Steve Jenner taking a dominant victory. Well done to all the drivers for a clean and exciting A Final!
