What a drive from Ian Webb tonight in Race 3! He absolutely dominated the Touring Car class, leading every single lap of the race from start to finish. His consistency was off the charts, with his fastest lap a blistering 13.75 seconds, setting the benchmark for the entire field. Webb took the chequered flag unchallenged, a true masterclass on the SMCC polished floor.
The real battle was for the remaining podium places. Craig Playfoot showed strong pace, particularly in the latter half of the race, climbing from third on lap eight to secure a well-deserved second position. He completed 15 laps, just ahead of Martin Timms, who also ran 15 laps and fought hard to keep pace. Timms held onto second for the opening seven laps before Playfoot began his charge.
Unfortunately, Jason Weaver's race was cut short, and he was unable to complete any laps. Despite the brief outing, we look forward to seeing him back on track and fighting hard at the next round of the 2026 Winter/Spring Championship. A brilliant night of racing here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club!
