Round 6 Touring Car Race: Cowe Takes Command
What a fantastic race we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 6 of the Winter/Spring Championship! Ian Cowe fought back after an early setback to claim a decisive victory in the Touring Car final. Adam Gammage started strong, leading the opening two laps, but by Lap 3, Ian Cowe had made his move and established a lead he wouldn't relinquish. Cowe went on to complete 18 laps in a total time of 244.6 seconds, holding off Gammage by just over 11 seconds.
Adam Gammage put in a stellar performance, setting the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 12.92 seconds. Despite this incredible pace, consistency proved the key, and Gammage eventually finished in second place after a hard-fought 18 laps. Steve Jenner ran a solid race to secure the final podium spot, completing 17 laps before unfortunately not finishing the final lap.
Further down the field, Tim Halstead finished in fourth place, completing 14 laps. James Weaver rounded out the top five, completing 8 laps in a race that saw plenty of action and close driving on the polished hall floor. Congratulations to Ian Cowe on the win!
