What a display of Tamiya Tourer prowess from Craig Playfoot tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! From the moment the lights went out, Craig was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the race. He crossed the line having completed 14 laps, a fantastic 2 minutes and 21.42 seconds after the start, leaving the rest of the field to battle for the remaining podium places.
While Craig was pulling away at the front, the real action was happening further back. Carlo Liddle ran a strong second for most of the race, completing 12 laps. However, it was Delilah Clark who fought through the pack, coming from fourth on lap one to secure a brilliant third place finish, albeit on 8 laps to Carlo's 12. Ollie Gammage also completed 8 laps, ending up fourth, while Robert Bevan rounded out the top five with 7 laps to his name.
A special mention must go to Ollie Gammage for setting the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 14.51 seconds! A true testament to his pace, even if he couldn't quite convert that into a higher finishing position. A great night of racing for all involved at SMCC.
