Race 3 - Touring Car Recap
What a drive from Ian Webb in Race 3! He absolutely dominated the touring car class tonight, leading from the very first lap all the way to the chequered flag. Webb set a blistering pace throughout, clocking the fastest lap of the race at a remarkable 13.58 seconds. His consistency was on another level, and he maintained his lead without dropping a single position.
Behind the dominant leader, the battle for second was a tight affair. Craig Playfoot initially held strong in second, but Martin Timms fought back on lap 4 to briefly take the position. However, Playfoot managed to reclaim second place by lap 5 and held it for the remainder of his 16 laps. Timms, despite a valiant effort, ultimately finished third, completing 15 laps. Jason Weaver held fourth for the entire race, bringing his car home after 14 laps.
It was a clean race with Ian Webb taking a well-deserved victory. Craig Playfoot secured a solid second, with Martin Timms rounding out the podium. The consistency of Webb's performance was the story of the night, setting a high bar for the rest of the field.
