Race 4 - Touring Car Recap
What a fantastic display of touring car racing we've just witnessed here at the Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ian Cowe was in a class of his own tonight, absolutely dominating Race 4 of the Winter/Spring Championship. From the moment the lights went out, Ian was in front and stayed there, leading every single lap of the race. He managed the gap expertly, finishing with a comfortable margin to secure a brilliant victory.
While Ian Cowe was streaking away at the front, the battle for the remaining podium places was hotly contested. Steve Jenner showed incredible consistency, climbing an impressive two places from his starting position to claim a well-deserved second place. He put in a strong performance throughout, crossing the line just 2.24 seconds behind Ian. Not far behind Steve was James Weaver, who fought hard to secure third place, completing 18 laps before a null entry on the final lap. Adam Gammage also completed 18 laps, a strong showing for him, and posted the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 12.290s, showing his pace around the SMCC hall. Tim Halstead rounded out the top five, completing 15 laps.
