Tamiya Tourers Thriller: Shepherd Takes the Win!
What a sensational Tamiya Tourer race we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Mark Shepherd has stormed to victory, clinching the win in a masterful display. The lead swapped hands early on, with Mark K Shepherd taking the advantage on lap 2 before Mark Shepherd fought back to reclaim the lead on lap 4. From then on, Mark Shepherd was in control, setting the fastest lap of the race at a blistering 14.13 seconds and holding his nerve to complete 17 laps.
Mark K Shepherd put in a strong performance to take second place, finishing just behind his namesake. Despite leading for a couple of laps, he ultimately finished one lap down after failing to record a time for the final lap. Jimmy Zepp fought his way through the field, gaining two positions from his starting spot to secure a well-deserved third place, completing 15 laps.
Chris Playfoot and Martin Timms also completed 15 laps, finishing in fourth and fifth respectively. The gap between the chasing pack and the leaders was significant, but the battle for the podium places was certainly one to remember. A fantastic night of racing for the Tamiya Tourers class!
