What a race we've just seen at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ian Cowe has taken a dominant victory in the Touring Car class, finishing with 19 laps and a total time of 249.7 seconds. He took the lead on lap 2 from Adam Gammage and never looked back, holding station at the front for the remainder of the race. His consistency was remarkable, with his gap to the leader per lap showing zero from lap 2 onwards.
The battle for the podium places was where the real drama unfolded. Steve Jenner fought hard, climbing three positions from his starting place to secure a well-deserved second. He completed 18 laps, just shy of Cowe, and finished with a total time of 249.56 seconds. Adam Gammage rounded out the top three, bringing his car home in 17 laps. While he initially led, he dropped back through the field as the race progressed, ultimately finishing third.
James Weaver put in a stellar effort, setting the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 12.16 seconds. Despite this incredible pace, he ended the race in fifth position having completed 15 laps. Tim Halstead finished in fourth, also completing 17 laps. A truly compelling display of RC racing tonight!
