Tamiya Tourers: Shepherd Dominates Round 6 Final
Mark K Shepherd takes a commanding victory in the Tamiya Tourers final, leading every single lap of the race. He set a blistering pace from the start and never looked back, crossing the line with a significant gap to the rest of the field. His fastest lap of the race, a rapid 13.94 seconds, underlines his dominant performance on the polished hall floor.
Behind the leader, the battle for the remaining podium places was intense. Chris Playfoot started strongly, holding third for the opening laps before moving up to second on lap 4. He fought hard to maintain that position, eventually finishing 16 laps and securing the runner-up spot. Jimmy Zepp, meanwhile, made a determined charge through the field. Starting in fifth, he climbed two positions to finish a well-deserved third overall, also completing 16 laps.
Martin Timms ran consistently in fourth for much of the race, completing 15 laps, while Mark Shepherd showed flashes of speed early on, holding second for the first three laps before retiring. A strong drive from Mark K Shepherd, a solid effort from Chris Playfoot, and a determined comeback from Jimmy Zepp made for an exciting Tamiya Tourers encounter here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club.
