2026 Winter/Spring Championship - Round 6: Buggy A Final Recap
Tom Jones put in a dominant performance to take victory in the Buggy A Final tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club. From the moment the lights went out, Jones was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the 22-lap race. His fastest lap of 12.8 seconds was also the quickest of the entire race, underlining his control from start to finish. He crossed the line with a comfortable margin, taking maximum points in this round of the championship.
Behind the runaway leader, Ben Clark secured a strong second place. Clark held second position throughout the race, maintaining consistent pace to finish 21 laps. Holly Weaver fought hard for third place, finishing on 19 laps after a determined drive. Glen Liddle also completed 19 laps, and Mark Walkden finished in fifth, having completed 16 laps. The remaining drivers, Peter McKerrow and David Pay, completed 11 and 8 laps respectively.
It was a clean race with Tom Jones setting a blistering pace, leaving the rest of the field battling for the podium positions. Congratulations to Tom on a superb drive, and well done to all drivers for putting on an exciting show!
