2026 Winter/Spring Championship - Round 6: Touring Car A Final Recap
Steve Jenner took a dominant victory in the Touring Car A Final tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club, leading every single lap of the 24-lap race. He controlled the pace from the outset, building a consistent gap to the chasing pack. His closest challenger for much of the race was Adam Gammage, who held a solid second position throughout. Gammage set the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 12.02 seconds, but couldn't quite close the distance to Jenner.
The battle for the final podium spot was a hard-fought affair, with Tim Halstead eventually securing third place. Halstead spent the majority of the race in contention, climbing as high as second on lap two before settling into a consistent third for the remaining 18 laps he completed. James Weaver and Ian Webb were locked in a close fight further down the field, with Webb making up three positions from his starting spot to finish fifth.
Unfortunately, Craig Playfoot, Jason Weaver, Ian Cowe and Martin Timms were unable to complete the full race distance. Jenner crossed the line in first place, a clear winner, with Gammage taking a well-deserved second. Halstead completed the podium, capping off a decisive performance.
