SMCC Tamiya Tourers B Final – A Comeback Drive Secures Victory!
What a finish to our Tamiya Tourers B Final here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Craig Playfoot delivered a stellar drive, coming from third on lap one to take the win. He made his decisive move on lap seven, snatching the lead from Oscar Pay and holding it to the chequered flag. Craig finished with 19 laps completed, a fantastic effort that saw him climb two positions from his starting place.
George Cordier put up a strong challenge, finishing a mere 1.6 seconds behind Craig on the same lap count. George was consistently running in the top four, at one point holding second for a remarkable seven-lap stint from lap 12 to lap 18. Carlo Liddle fought hard to secure third, completing 17 laps. He was locked in a tense battle for position throughout the closing stages of the race.
Oscar Pay led the early laps, showing blistering pace with the fastest lap of the race on lap 1, but ultimately finished fourth after completing 16 laps. Donna Belton - Timms rounded out the top five, completing 15 laps and maintaining a consistent presence throughout the race. A truly gripping B Final to round off the evening's racing!
