And that's the chequered flag waving on the Tamiya Tourers A Final at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! What a display we saw tonight. Mark Shepherd has taken a hard-fought victory, crossing the line having completed 21 laps. For a significant portion of the race, it looked like Mark K Shepherd was on course for the win, taking the lead on lap 5 and holding it until lap 18. Mark K Shepherd finished a valiant second, just 4.18 seconds behind the leader, and set the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 13.73 seconds.
Behind the two Marks, Chris Playfoot put in a solid performance to secure third place, also completing 21 laps. He was briefly in second on lap 6 but couldn't quite maintain that position, ultimately finishing 7.1 seconds adrift of the leader. Jimmy Zepp, driving his Tamiya Tourer, battled hard to finish fourth, completing 19 laps. Martin Timms rounded out the top five, completing 18 laps.
A true race of attrition and strategy, and a fantastic end to round 6 of the Championship. Well done to all our drivers tonight!
