Tamiya Tourers Race 6 Recap
What a display from Ian Foxwell in the Tamiya Tourers final! He was in a class of his own tonight, leading from the opening lap right through to the chequered flag. His fastest lap of 15.58 seconds was also the quickest of the entire race, setting a blistering pace that nobody else could match. Ian completed a dominant 15 laps to take a well-deserved victory.
The battle for the remaining podium spots was where the real drama unfolded. Donna Belton - Timms fought hard, moving up to second by lap two and holding that position for the majority of the race. She crossed the line having completed 11 laps. Oscar Pay made a strong charge through the field, climbing to third by lap three and staying there, ultimately finishing with 10 laps to his name.
Sophie Cowe and George Cordier had tougher races. George started strongly, running in second early on, but unfortunately couldn't maintain that pace. Sophie battled through to a respectable fourth place, finishing with 8 laps completed. A fantastic effort from all drivers on a challenging track tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club.
