2026 Summer Championship - Round 1: Short Course Truck Race 1
What a start to the 2026 Summer Championship here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Alan Culham takes a commanding victory in the opening Short Course Truck race, dominating from the very first lap to the chequered flag. He was consistently out front, setting a blistering fastest lap of 16.05 seconds and maintaining his lead throughout the entire 14-lap contest.
Behind Alan, Keith Griggs fought hard to secure second place. While Alan was untouchable out front, Keith held a strong second position for the full 13 laps he completed, finishing just under 2 seconds behind Alan’s total time. Andrew Boakes put in a determined effort to round out the podium, taking third place after 12 laps. Although he ran third throughout the race, he was unable to match the pace of the leaders over the distance.
A fantastic display of driving from all our competitors tonight. We're looking forward to seeing how the rest of the championship unfolds!
