2026 Summer Championship - Round 1: Race 5 - Tamiya Tourers Recap
What a fantastic opener to the Summer Championship here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ollie Gammage has taken a commanding victory in the Tamiya Tourers, finishing with a total time of 243.51 seconds. After an early tussle, Gammage took the lead on lap five from Peter McKerrow and never looked back, spending the final six laps in clean air to secure the win.
The fight for the podium positions was intense. Robert Bevan showed strong pace, holding a podium spot for much of the race, eventually finishing third with 7 laps completed. Sophie Cowe battled hard, climbing through the field to snatch second place on lap seven, a position she held to the checkered flag, also completing 7 laps. Peter McKerrow, who initially led the field for four laps, dropped back to finish fourth, though he set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 20.44 seconds. Delilah Clark completed the top five, bringing her Tamiya Tourer home after a consistent drive.
