Tamiya Tourers - Round 1 Recap
What a cracker of a Tamiya Tourer race to kick off the Summer Championship! Ian Foxwell was absolutely dominant, leading from the lights out to the chequered flag, setting the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 14.86 seconds. He kept it pinned for all 16 laps, leaving the rest of the field chasing shadows.
The battle for second was where the real drama unfolded. Martin Timms looked strong for a long time, holding second position for the entire race until the final lap when he was unable to complete it, ultimately finishing 15 laps. Donna Belton-Timms showed fantastic consistency in the latter half of the race, fighting her way back through the field to secure a well-deserved third place on 12 laps. Oscar Pay made a strong early charge, climbing two positions from his starting spot to run third for a significant portion of the race before ultimately finishing on 7 laps.
Polly Gammage rounded out the top five, also completing 12 laps and showing great pace throughout the event. A fantastic opening round for the Tamiya Tourers class!
