2026 Summer Championship - Round 1: Tamiya Tourers Race
What a race we've just witnessed in the Tamiya Tourers here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Tim Webb has taken the win, crossing the line after 16 laps with a total time of 240.5 seconds. He didn't have it all his own way though, spending the early laps in second and third. It was a crucial move on lap 8 that saw Tim snatch the lead from Jack Brown, and he held it steadfastly to the finish. Damian Brown put in a fantastic charge, setting the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 14.24 seconds. He clawed his way through the field from third on the opening lap, eventually securing a strong second place just 0.5 seconds behind Tim.
Jack Brown initially looked dominant, leading from the start and holding P1 until lap 2. He fought back to reclaim the lead briefly on lap 3 before settling into the chasing pack. Jack ultimately finished third, 1.83 seconds behind Tim at the flag. Mark Shepherd made an early move for the lead on lap 2 but couldn't hold it, finishing a respectable fourth. Mark K Shepherd completed the top five, finishing on 15 laps.
