What a show we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 1 of the 2026 Summer Championship! Alan Culham absolutely dominated the Short Course Truck race, leading from the opening lap to the checkered flag. He set a blistering pace throughout, posting a fastest lap of 15.22 seconds and never looking back. His consistent performance, averaging over 16 seconds per lap, saw him complete all 15 laps unchallenged.
Behind the runaway leader, the battle for second was where the real drama unfolded. Keith Griggs, running in second for the majority of the race, eventually completed 13 laps, finishing just over half a second shy of Alan's total time. Andrew Boakes, starting in third, held his position for the first 11 laps before unfortunately being lapped out. It was a strong drive from Keith to secure the runner-up spot, showcasing his skill and determination on the polished hall floor.
