Buggy Race 2 Recap
What a finish to the Buggy class race tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Toby Halstead took an early commanding lead, holding first position for the entirety of the race until the very final lap. He set a blistering pace, with his fastest lap of 14.43 seconds being the quickest of the entire race. However, Tim Webb, who started in fourth, was relentlessly climbing. He moved into third on lap 1, then second on lap 3, and stayed there until that dramatic last lap where he took the lead to take the win.
Mark Walkden finished a solid third, consistently running in second for the opening laps before settling into third for the remainder of his race. Peter McKerrow, starting third, held position until lap 2 where he dropped to fourth, a position he maintained to the checkered flag. Unfortunately, Damian McLean was unable to complete any laps. Tim Webb’s drive was a masterclass in consistency, ultimately securing him the victory by 11.49 seconds over Toby Halstead, who completed 14 laps to Webb's 15.
