Tamiya Tourers: Brown Dominates Round 1
Damian Brown set a blistering pace from the green flag to the chequered, leading every single lap of the Tamiya Tourers race at Sevenoaks Model Car Club's Summer Championship opener. He crossed the line a comfortable 2.76 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, completing 17 laps in a total time of 245.67 seconds. Brown's consistency was evident throughout, rarely straying from his calculated pace.
The real fight for the podium places unfolded behind Damian. Tim Webb initially held second, but a challenging lap 4 saw him drop to third. However, Webb fought back, reclaiming second position and holding it to the finish. He also set the fastest lap of the entire race with an impressive 13.98 seconds, showing his potential speed. Jack Brown had a strong run, moving into third place by lap 9 and maintaining that position for the remainder of the race, finishing just over 3 seconds behind Webb. Mark Shepherd ran a consistent race, initially holding third before settling into fourth, just over a second and a half behind Jack Brown.
Jimmy Zepp battled hard but ultimately finished fifth, completing 15 laps. Mark K Shepherd finished sixth, completing 14 laps. A solid performance from Damian Brown to kick off the championship!
