What a cracker of a Buggy A Final we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Tom Jones has taken the victory in the opening round of the 2026 Summer Championship. He completed 22 laps in a time of 308.07 seconds, setting his fastest lap of the race at a blistering 13.09 seconds. It wasn't a lights-to-flag stroll for Tom, though. He had Ian Foxwell hot on his heels for the entire duration.
Ian kept the pressure on, finishing just 3.53 seconds behind Tom, completing 21 laps himself. His fastest lap, a 13.16, shows just how close these two were throughout the race. Toby Halstead brought his buggy home in third place, with 20 laps to his name. He was consistently putting in laps in the mid-13-second bracket, his quickest being 13.65.
Ben Clark pushed hard, completing 19 laps. He achieved a personal fastest lap of 13.28 seconds, but ultimately finished in fourth position. A fantastic start to the championship season for all our drivers tonight!
