Tamiya Tourers A Final: Shepherd Takes the Win After Lap 8 Lead Change
What a fantastic opening round of the 2026 Summer Championship for the Tamiya Tourers! Mark Shepherd has taken a commanding victory in the A Final, but it wasn't all plain sailing for him. Tim Webb held the lead for the opening seven laps, setting a blistering pace, but on lap 8, Mark Shepherd made his move to take the lead, a position he would hold until the checkered flag. Shepherd finished just over half a second ahead of Webb, a testament to their close battle throughout the 22-lap race.
Damian Brown secured a well-deserved third place, finishing with 21 laps completed. While he remained in third position for the entire race, he consistently battled to stay on terms with the leaders. Jack Brown showed great fighting spirit, making up two places from his starting position to finish fourth overall, also completing 21 laps. Jimmy Zepp rounded out the top five, a lap behind the front runners, while Mark K Shepherd finished sixth after 20 laps. The fastest lap of the entire race belonged to Tim Webb, with an impressive 13.570s on his penultimate lap.
