Tamiya Tourers Thriller at SMCC
What a race that was! The Tamiya Tourers didn't disappoint tonight in Race 4 of the 2026 Summer Championship. It looked like Robert Bevan was going to cruise to victory, holding the lead from lap 1 through lap 3. However, the lead changed hands on lap 4, with Hugo Webb Ramos taking the top spot. Hugo's time at the front was short-lived though, as Sophie Cowe moved into P1 on lap 5.
The battle for the lead was intense, but it was Ollie Gammage who made the decisive move. Starting in P4, Ollie steadily climbed, taking P3 on lap 3 and P2 on lap 6. He then took the lead on lap 7 and held it to the checkered flag, finishing with a total time of 238.86 seconds. Sophie Cowe put in a fantastic drive to take second place, just 9.19 seconds behind Ollie, and recorded the fastest lap of the race with an incredible 18.52 seconds. Hugo Webb Ramos completed the podium, finishing third after 8 laps.
Robert Bevan, after leading early, finished fourth overall, with Oscar Webb Ramos rounding out the top five. A truly exciting display of RC racing from all our drivers tonight.
