Tamiya Tourers: Round 2 Thriller Sees Timms Take the Win
What a fantastic Tamiya Tourer race we just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 2 of the Summer Championship! Martin Timms has taken the victory after a race-long battle with Oscar Pay. The lead swapped hands multiple times in the opening laps. Oscar Pay took the initial lead on lap 1, but Martin Timms responded immediately, snatching the lead back on lap 2. Oscar wasn't done though, reclaiming P1 on lap 3. It wasn't until lap 6 that Martin Timms made a decisive move to take the lead, holding it all the way to the chequered flag.
Martin Timms completed 16 laps in a total time of 243.59 seconds, with Oscar Pay finishing a mere 5.08 seconds behind after also completing 16 laps. Oscar Pay did manage to set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 13.55-second run. Polly Gammage secured third place, completing 12 laps. Donna Belton-Timms and Peter McKerrow both finished 11 laps, taking fourth and fifth respectively. A truly engaging race for all involved!
