Well, what a finish to Race 2 of the Buggy class here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ian Foxwell takes the win after a race-long battle with Tom Jones. Tom actually led from the off, holding P1 for the opening two laps, but Ian made his move on lap three to take the lead and that's where he stayed. Ian's pace was incredibly consistent once he hit the front, and he pulled out a gap that Tom just couldn't close in the end, finishing a lap down.
Tom Jones secured a strong second place, despite setting the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 10.95 seconds. His race pace, however, was a little more varied than Ian's, leading to his eventual deficit. James Campbell fought hard to secure third place, completing 19 laps. He spent a good portion of the middle of the race in third but dropped back slightly before recovering to reclaim the final podium spot in the closing stages.
Holly Weaver and Mark Walkden completed 18 and 16 laps respectively, finishing in fourth and fifth. Peter McKerrow finished sixth, and unfortunately, Damian McLean didn't record a lap. A fantastic effort from all our drivers tonight!
