Tamiya Tourers Blast Off in Summer Championship Round 2
What a race we just witnessed in the Tamiya Tourers here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Ollie Gammage fought back brilliantly to take the win. After starting in second, Ollie dropped to third on lap one but then found his rhythm, taking the lead on lap three and holding it for the remaining ten laps. His fastest lap of 18.39 seconds was impressive, though Hugo Webb Ramos managed to snatch the overall fastest lap of the race with a blistering 17.88 seconds on lap 10.
Hugo Webb Ramos showed incredible pace, climbing from fourth on the grid to take a strong second place, completing 10 laps. He even held the lead for a lap on lap two before Ollie Gammage came through. Sophie Cowe also put in a tenacious drive, securing third place on the road with 8 laps completed, showing real consistency after lap four.
Robert Bevan and Oscar Webb Ramos battled hard throughout, completing 7 laps each, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. Despite Oscar Webb Ramos leading the opening lap, he couldn't maintain that early advantage. A fantastic display of Tamiya Tourer racing from all our competitors tonight!
