What a race for the Tamiya Tourers here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Tim Webb has taken the win in Round 2 of the Summer Championship after a brilliant charge through the field. After starting a credible third, Webb made his move on Lap 3, taking the lead from Mark Shepherd and holding it all the way to the chequered flag. He completed all 20 laps in a total time of 243.45 seconds, cementing his position at the top.
Mark Shepherd had a strong run, leading the early laps before being overtaken by Webb. He finished a solid second, just 5.87 seconds behind the winner, despite setting the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 11.56 seconds on lap 18. Mark K Shepherd rounded out the podium, finishing third, though he was a lap down by the end of the 20-lap contest.
Further down the order, Ian Foxwell and Jimmy Zepp battled hard, both completing 19 laps. Foxwell secured fourth place with a time of 250.16 seconds, just ahead of Zepp who finished fifth, a mere 0.54 seconds adrift after a closely fought race. A great display of driving from all the competitors tonight!
