What a race we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 2 of the 2026 Summer Championship! Tom Jones was absolutely dominant in the Buggy class, leading from the first lap all the way to the chequered flag, not relinquishing the lead for a single second. His consistency was remarkable, posting a fastest lap of 10.93 seconds and a mean lap time of just 11.745 seconds over his 21 laps.
Behind the clear leader, the battle for the podium was more intense. James Campbell made a strong recovery, climbing two places from his starting position to secure second place. He finished just 2.17 seconds behind the leader, completing 20 laps. Holly Weaver fought hard and managed to take the final podium spot in third, finishing a lap down on the leaders. Mark Walkden finished fourth after completing 16 laps, with Ian Foxwell fifth, also completing 12 laps.
Despite the clear victor, it was a fantastic display of skill and control from all our drivers on the polished hall floor. We're already looking forward to the next round!
