2026 Summer Championship - Round 2: Touring Car Race 3 Recap
What a fantastic conclusion to Race 3 for our Touring Car class here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! James Weaver took a dominant victory, completing 22 laps and finishing with a comfortable margin. He established himself at the front on lap three, taking the lead from Steve Jenner, and was never truly challenged thereafter, setting the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 10.35 seconds.
Steve Jenner fought hard for second place, completing 21 laps. While he held an early lead, he ultimately couldn't match Weaver's pace. Ian Cowe put in a strong performance to secure third, climbing two places from his starting position and finishing 19 laps, showing great consistency in the latter half of the race.
Ian Webb finished a respectable fourth, completing 18 laps before the chequered flag. Martin Timms managed 10 laps, demonstrating flashes of speed but struggling with consistency. Unfortunately, Jimmy Zepp wasn't able to complete any laps in this outing. A brilliant race from all our drivers!
