Tamiya Tourers A Final: Shepherd Takes the Win!
What a sensational drive from Mark K Shepherd in the Tamiya Tourers A Final tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Shepherd took the lead early and never looked back, holding off a determined challenge from Tim Webb to take a dominant victory. Shepherd completed 25 laps in a total time of 300.61 seconds, with his closest rival Webb just 7.02 seconds adrift at the flag. Webb also managed 25 laps, his fastest being a blistering 11.42 seconds.
The battle for the final podium spot was intense. Jimmy Zepp crossed the line in third with 24 laps, just ahead of Ian Foxwell who also completed 24 laps. Mark Shepherd, fresh from his win in the previous round, fought hard but ultimately finished fifth on 23 laps. Martin Timms had a strong showing, leading every lap of his heat and setting the fastest lap of the race at 11.77 seconds, finishing sixth overall.
Donna Belton-Timms finished seventh after 16 laps, while Oscar Pay was unfortunately unable to complete a lap. A truly gripping final for the Tamiya Tourers championship!
