2026 Summer Championship - Round 5: Race 2 Buggy A Final
What a sensational finish to the Buggy A Final at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Nick Stokes has taken the win, crossing the line after 21 laps to finish with a total time of 304.36 seconds. He held off a strong challenge from James Campbell, who finished a mere 7.23 seconds behind after completing 20 laps. Ian Foxwell also put in a fantastic drive to secure third place, just 1.01 seconds behind Campbell, also on 20 laps.
It was Tim Webb who initially set the pace, leading every single lap from the front. He was impressively consistent, setting the fastest lap of the race at 13.55 seconds, and maintained his lead until he retired on lap 20. This allowed Nick Stokes, who had been running in second place, to inherit the lead and ultimately secure a hard-fought victory.
The rest of the field also battled intensely. Mark Walkden finished fifth, completing 16 laps, with Peter McKerrow just behind in sixth on 13 laps. Tom Jones and Holly Weaver completed the finishers, with Holly setting a blistering 13.36s lap on her single completed circuit. A truly memorable A Final for the SMCC Buggy class!
