2026 Summer Championship - Round 5: Touring Car A Final Recap
What a night of racing at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! The Touring Car A Final delivered a masterclass in pace and consistency, with Ian Cowe taking a hard-fought victory. He completed 21 laps in a total time of 303.51 seconds, just over two seconds ahead of James Weaver, who also completed 21 laps. Adam Gammage rounded out the top three, finishing his 21 laps just shy of five seconds behind Weaver.
The race was dominated from start to finish by Martin Timms. He held the lead for every single lap, a testament to his exceptional control. His fastest lap of the night was an impressive 15.77 seconds. While Timms set the pace, he ultimately finished the race with 18 laps, two laps down on the leaders. Ian Webb also completed 18 laps, finishing just ahead of Timms on countback.
Chris Playfoot and Tim Halstead completed 14 and 12 laps respectively, securing sixth and seventh place. Unfortunately, Craig Playfoot was unable to complete a lap. It was a gripping finale to our Summer Championship night!
