Race 1 - Short Course Truck - A Final Recap
What a dominant performance from Toby Halstead tonight in the Short Course Truck A Final! From the moment the lights went out, Halstead was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the race. He set the fastest lap of the night with a blistering 13.62 seconds, consistently setting a blistering pace that no one else could match. His total time of 319.06 seconds across 21 laps speaks volumes about his exceptional control and speed on the polished hall floor.
While Toby was untouchable out front, the battle for the remaining podium spots was intense. Keith Griggs put in a strong effort, securing second position with 15 laps completed. Griggs consistently held second place from lap one right through to lap 15, showcasing solid driving. Not far behind, Andrew Boakes fought hard to claim third. Boakes completed 14 laps, demonstrating great determination throughout the final.
It was a fantastic display of RC racing from all our drivers, capping off another exciting round of the 2026 Winter/Spring Championship here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club.
